Upon arrival, you’ll connect to the scheduled flight to Arusha Airport / Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by your onward flight to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will be assisted transfer to Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Tucked into the upper branches of an ancient mahogany grove and embraced by the dramatic Rift Valley, &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge offers a deeply immersive escape into one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse national parks. Elevated on stilts and crafted from natural materials, ten treehouse suites overlook dappled glades where elephants sometimes wander below.
This is the only permanent lodge within Lake Manyara National Park, offering rare access to its diverse habitats—from soda lake to groundwater forest—and a front-row seat to tree-climbing lions and abundant birdlife. Days here move gently, with healing therapies, fresh seasonal menus, and space to reconnect. The lodge’s graceful, low-impact design lets nature lead, while warm Tanzanian hospitality brings soul to every detail.
After a sumptous breakfast, you will head out in your 4x4 safari jeeps with game enroute and transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area - The Ngorongoro Crater in Northern Tanzania, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world. Some maintain that before it erupted, it would have been higher than Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600 m deep Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth.
Check in at the Ngorongoro Lion's Paw - An explicit view of the cradled Lake Magadi awaits you at the Lion’s Paw east of Ngorongoro’s caldera. Create unforgettable memories with views of large tusked elephants and the endangered black rhinos using your binoculars from the bar and lounge area. Lion’s Paw is 10 minutes away from the crater entrance, where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy serene bush dinners to crown your crater experience. You will do game drives in Ngorongoro Crater to explore the panoramic, short-grass prairies along the crater floor — home to rare black rhinos as well as lions, hyenas and gazelles. See colorfully garbed Maasai herdsmen, who call the stunning landscape home. Visit a Maasai village and meet with an elder to learn about local culture and traditions.
Lodge locations and drive time will change according to seasonal movement of the game. This is to give you the shortest drive time to access the large herds of wildebeest and zebra and hopefully catch the actual migration. With UNLIMITED GAME VIEWING your safari time will be maximized. This is the Africa you’ve been imagining. The 10,000 square mile Serengeti is the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. The name comes from the local Masai tribe’s word “siringiti”, for “endless plains” – although the types of terrain are as varied as the animals that live here. Massive islands of granite, grassy plains, an acacia savannah, woodlands, and a range of mountains support the thousands of species you may encounter. Take morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. The lodge offers a spectacular view of the Serengeti Plains and the Mbalageti River, which attracts the migration of wildebeest and zebra.
This morning, bid farewell to your Tanzania guide and board a connecting flight direct to Kenya and the Maasai Mara, the northern extension of the Serengeti Plains. Maasai Mara is one of the greatest wildlife habitats in the world. In one sweep of binoculars you can see a hundred elephants, lion, impala, zebra, and wildebeest. The plains are gold and the silhouettes of elephant, giraffe, and lion can be seen. Become a part of the life in the Mara - birth, feeding, death and life, an incredible experience that you will never forget. Accommodations in the Mara have been selected for their proximity to the river where the wildebeest and zebra generally cross from the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives in open sided camp vehicles.
Bid farewell to the inspiring African bush and board a short flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will then connect to your international departure. (Breakfast)
